Priyadarshan and Lissy split

Renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan and his actress wife Lissy headed for a splitsville when the latter issued a press statement that announced their divorce. Lissy stated, “It is with profound sadness that I am announcing that I and Priyadarshan have decided to get separated after 24 years of marriage. I have filed for divorce today (Monday, 1st December) in Chennai family court. Both our children and close friends are aware of this decision. As you can imagine it is a very difficult period in our lives and I request all of you to respect our privacy”.

Few months back, there were rumors doing the rounds that the couple was heading for a divorce but later it was vehemently denied by the couple.

Priyadarshan and Lissy got married in 1990 and have a daughter Kalyani and son Siddharth who are settled abroad. Priyadarshan has made around eighty films across Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi and Lissy was seen in Tamil film Vikram with Kamal.
