Priyadarshan to direct Udhayanidhi Stalin

Director Priyadarshan would soon be directing Udhayanidhi Stalin for a Tamil film which will be a remake of the Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaaram. This is a fresh combo as Priyadarshan focuses more in Hindi and Malayalam. Udhay will be reprising Fahadh Fassil’s role in the Tamil version.

Priyardarshan says, “The film is a comedy drama and Udhay was my first choice for the central character. I am very confident that he would pull it off.” He also added that he is making many changes in the script to suit Tamil nativity. Apart from Udhay, the film has MS Bhaskar. The rest of the cast and crew would soon be finalized. The movie is set in Tenkasi, Theni and Madurai and will go on floors on July 15.

As regards Udhay, he has two films, Podhuvaaga En Manasu Thangam and Ippadai Vellum ready for release.
