'Puthan Panam - The New Indian Rupee' shoot started

The shooting of the movie ‘Puthan Panam - The New Indian Rupee’ started in Kochi. The film directed by Ranjith stars Mamootty in the lead role. The first clap was done by Antony Perumbavoor.


Mammootty’s dashing look with his twirled moustache, and red stone stud on one ear (kadukkan) has already created a wave among the filmgoers.


Mammootty plays the character Nityananda Shenoy, a native of Kumbala in Kasargod. Black money and the current financial situation prevailing in India are the main themes in the movie.


Kochi, Goa, and Pollachi are the locations. Iniya is the heroine. Renji Panicker, Saikumar, Siddique, Harish Perumanna, Mamukkoya, and Joju George do supporting roles.
