'Queen' to Malayalam; Manju Warier in Kangana's role?

According to industry grapevine, the super hit Hindi movie ‘Queen’ is to be remade in Malayalam and the queen of Malayalam cinema Manju Warier will do the lead role played by Kangana Ranaut.

The remake rights are owned by veteran Tamil actor and director Thyagarajan. The movie will be remade in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The lead male role played by Rajkumar Rao in Hindi will be done by actor Prashanth, who is also the son of Thyagarajan.

‘Queen’ is the story of Rani who lives in Punjab. She makes her honeymoon trip alone when her fiancé walks out of the marriage two days before the wedding.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the main attraction of the movie was the spectacular performance of Kangana. The movie is an exemplar of how a woman really becomes a queen; how situations mould a person. The movie also highlights the language of love.
