Raghava Lawrence to enter politics?

Actor/ director/ choreographer Raghava Lawrence is known for his philanthropic activities and also his recent involvement in the Jallikattu issue. He sat along with the students despite his bad health and also presented his request to the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu O Paneerselvam.

At a recent press meet to commemorate the success of jallikattu which was also attended by students in Chennai, Lawrence announced that he would even enter politics if needed.

He further elaborated, “We (students and him) would continue to work for good causes to serve the people of Tamil Nadu. If our protests do not yield any result, on any issue, we would certainly jump into politics. Our students will represent and stand for elections from all the constituencies. I have left the decisions to them. Those who wish to join me should not belong to any political party, movement, or terrorist organization. They should give this in writing. They should also not take money during elections”:
