Rahman and Aparna Nair in 'Blue'

Rahman and Aparna Nair join for the movie ‘Blue’ to be directed by National award winner Venu Nair. The film is expected to start rolling from June.

‘Blue’ tells the story of a director who makes movies out of real life experiences. Rahman does the role of the central character of the director.

The movie is also inspired by the life story of Aruna Shanbaug who was brutally raped at the hospital where she worked and is in vegetative state for the last 40 years.

Aparna Nair does the role of a lawyer and she is so happy to be part of this movie which provides her a role with scope for performance. Sritha Sivadas plays Varsha.

Thiruvananthapuram, Alappuzha, and Munnar are the main shooting locations.
