Rajinikanth advises youngsters

Yesterday, the 23rd January was a tension filled day in Chennai when there were many untoward incidents which were dotted by fire, arson, lathi charge by police and road block in the city, to name a few.

Notwithstanding the same, Superstar Rajinikanth had issued a press note, the excerpts from which states, “The peaceful protests by a huge number of students and youngsters all over Tamil Nadu has registered its place in the Indian history. When these students made the whole world look back at them, it is disheartening to see the current situation in the state.

When we got an assurance from the State and Central Government about Jallikattu happening, we should have believed in them and shown respect by staying calm. But now, few anti-social elements are bringing a bad image to all the hard work put up by the youngsters, ladies, kids, police officers and others. Don't let these anti-social groups spoil your hard work. To prevent this unfortunate incident, I kindly request all of you to call off this protest and return home safely".
