Rajinikanth appreciates Anushka for Bhagmathi

Bhagmathi directed by Ashok featuring Anushka hit the screens recently and has been having decent reviews. Anushka had essayed an IAS officer who is held captive in a haunted castle as part of a secret investigation by the police. The film was also declared a box-office hit.

In a recent interview to a Telugu channel, the Arundhathi heroine had mentioned that she is elated after receiving a phone call from Superstar Rajinikanth for her performance in the film. She may have been getting a lot of accolades from audiences and peers for her alluring performance in the film, but the Baahubali actress says that the one from Rajini is very special.

She was quoted as saying, "Rajinikanth gaaru watched the film and called me and heaped his compliments. I was so happy because I never expected a call from him. His praises are the best thing to have happened to Bhaagamathie so far." It has to be recalled that Anushka had earlier shared screen space with Rajinikanth in Lingaa.
