Rajinikanth is meeting his fans district wise in Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam Chenni. Today, on the 20th May, was the concluding day and the superstar was at his vociferous best. He addressed many issues and an excerpt is below.

On people branding him as Kannadiga he said, “People ask if I'm a Tamilian or not. Now I am 67 years old. I have been in Tamil Nadu for 44 years and for just 23 years, I had been in Karnataka. I grew up amongst you people. All of you supported me, gave me a good name, lots of money and fame. It is you people who made me a Tamizhan. I am a pure Tamilian now. I have already said that my dad was born in Krishnagiri. If you people kick me out of this state, I won't go to any other state, I will go only to the Himalayas”.

To his naysayers, he said, “After seeing comments in Twitter and Facebook, I don't feel hurt. People will talk negatively about me, but I don't want any of you to feel bad about it. We can grow in life only through such strong opposition. They should know that they are actually helping us and not putting us down. I have lots of work, all of you also have work to do, so go back and start doing it. When the war starts, we will face it. God is there''.

He also praised MK Stalin, Anbumani Ramadoss, Thirumavalavan and others.
