Rajinikanth says Kamal Haasan is the Nadigar Thilagam for this generation

Kamal Haasan has been chosen to receive the prestigious Chevalier award from the French government. People have been appreciating the Ulaga Nayagan from all quarters. His close friend and Superstar Rajinikanth had also praised Kamal with a tweet in Tamil that read as, “Engal thalimuraiyin Nadigar Thilagam chevalier arumai nanbar Kamal Haasan avargalukku ennudaya manamaarndha paaraattukkal”. Roughly translated into English, it reads as “I wish this generation’s Chevalier Sivaji and my good friend Kamal Haasan for receiving the prestigious award”.

Sivaji Ganesan was the first Tamil actor to be conferred the Chevalier award. The honor, which is yet another laurel for Kamal Haasan, is in recognition of his high level of artistic excellence and his distinguished career achievements.

The award will be conferred on Kamal Haasan at a special ceremony soon. In an audio message, Kamal said, “This award is to those who give me the tenacity of purpose to pursue to this day in the moment my arts and letters,” He dedicated the award to his admirers and audience.
