Rajinikanth to get Indian Personality of the year award

Colonel Rajyarvardhan Singh Rathore who recently took over as the Minister of State for Information and Technology has announced that Superstar Rajinikanth would be honored at the 45th International Film Festival of India to be held at Goa.


Rajinikanth would be bestowed with the Centenary Award for Indian Film Personality of the Year. The Film Festival begins on the 20th of November and goes on till the 30th of November.


It has to be noted that Rajini is already the recipient of the country’s highest civilian award, Padmabhushan in the year 2000 and enjoys a very powerful fan base not only in the country but also all over the world. On hearing the news, social media was abuzz with congratulatory notes to the stylish icon. Rajinikanth is awaiting his next release Lingaa directed by K S Ravikumar in the coming months.
