Rajinikanth to team with Madras director Ranjith

Director Ranjith made an emphatic entry through his maiden directorial film Attakathi and he followed it up with Madras featuring Karthi.

But it is almost like a coup of sorts when the news leaked out that he would be directing the superstar Rajinikanth for his third film.

The information is that Rajinikanth had listened to a story narration from Ranjith, Lawrence Raghava and Sundar C and had apparently liked Ranjith’s script. It has been stated that it would be a gangster film and there would not be heroine for Rajinikanth. The film is said to go on floors soon and would be ready for a Pongal release. The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu. Official details are said to follow soon.
