Ramesh Aravind to direct the Kannada and Tamil remake of Queen
Jun 7, 2017 JBQueen, the Kangana Ranaut starrer was lauded by all as it celebrated women’s freedom and explored the self discovery of a young girl. The film naturally had its takers for remake in many languages and Thyagarajan had bought the remake rights of the film in south Indian languages.
But, now it looks like he has sold the remake rights to a different party and there are many changes. Revathy, who was said to be directing the Tamil and Malayalam versions, is no longer directing this remake. In her place comes Ramesh Aravind who was last seen in Tamil in the capacity of a director in Uttama Villain.
Kajal Agarwal has been roped in to play Kangana’s role in Tamil and Amy Jackson would be reprising Lisa Haydon’s role in all the four south Indian versions, say reports. Parul Yadav is the heroine in Kannada which has been titled as Butterfly.
