Ramya Krishnan replaced Sridevi in Baahubali

Ramya Krishnan’s role as Sivagami in Baahubali is a powerful one which she did total justice. The audiences simply loved her for the way she gave life to the Rajamaatha Sivgami’s character in the film.

Reports coming in say that Sridevi was the first choice for this role but when the team approached the actress, her husband Boney Kapoor had asked for a huge sum as salary and also a share of the film’s profits. This was not acceptable to the crew and hence they opted for Ramya Krishnan.

Needless to say, Ramya Krishnan aced the role and a source from the unit was quoted as saying that they could not have imagined anyone else other than Ramya after seeing her portrayal.
