Ranveer Singh's ‘83' skips release date

Actor Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film, ‘83’, which was slated to hit the silver screens on April 10, has got postponed. The makers of the much-awaited film issued a statement on Friday and said that they have decided the put the release of ‘83’ on hold due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Ranveer Singh took to social media to share the statement. He wrote: “83 is not just our film but the entire nation’s film. But the health and safety of the nation always comes first. Stay safe, take care. We shall be back soon!”

Actress Deepika Padukone is playing the role of Ranveer's on-screen wife Romi Bhatia in the movie.

The film co-starring Tahir Raj Bhasin, Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk and Pankaj Tripathi is based on India's 1983 Cricket World Cup victory. The sports drama is directed by Kabir Khan. Click the Movie button below for more info:
