Remya Nambeesan sings for Koothan

Koothan is an upcoming film directed by Al.Venky with debutant actors Rajkumar, Srijitha, Kira and Sonal. Actress Remya Nambeesan who is known for her singing talents in the Fy Fy Fy Kalachify number from Pandia Nadu has recorded a peppy song for the film which is a dance based musical story.

The lyrics for the song Odu Odu Kaadhal Kattu Merandi are penned by Kavignar Viveka and music is composed by BalzG who is a notable composer for his hit songs in Inba, Sooran and many Kannada films. He says, “Remya has a silvery sotto voice which I felt would do the magic and it actually did”.

When asked about the song and her singing experience, Remya says, “I really enjoyed singing this catchy tune. I initially had some difficulty in pronouncing many words as it had a lot of colloquial Tamil phrases. Past few days I was suffering from a throat infection and bad flu but after I started singing this number, I thoroughly felt super active and enjoyed every bit of it.
