Resul Pookutty to direct Mammootty

Oscar Award winning sound designer Resul Pookutty is all set to direct his first movie. While his debut directorial venture is in Hindi, he has confirmed that Mammootty will be the hero in his debut movie in Malayalam.

Resul will be in charge of three areas of the movie – direction, production, and sound designing. More details are not divulged.

Resul Pookutty has started a production firm with four others - Mahesh Ramanathan, former COO of Reliance Entertainment, Kumar Bhaskar, Kuldeep Singh Rathore, and Girish Raghavan - named Le Penta Productions. His movies will be produced under this banner.

His first Hindi movie will start its shoot within three months.
