Robert De Niro to work with David O. Russell and Jennifer Lawrence for third time in 'Joy'

Actor Robert De Niro has confirmed that he will play the role of a father in the much anticipated film “Joy”.

The 71-year-old, who was hosting a special screening of a HBO documentary in Rome Monday, said that he is been roped in by the producers to play a father in the film.

"Yeah, I am going to do something with them. I am going to play a father,” he said.

Directed by David O. Russell, the film will mark De Niro and Russell's third time working together in a film . They previously worked together in "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle".

The film will feature Jennifer Lawrence in the lead role, which would also be her third collaboration with the director-actor duo. Russell also hopes to sign Bradley Cooper, who was the lead in both those films as well.
