Ryan Reynolds to reprise his role as Deadpool in 'X-Men' spin-off film
Dec 7, 2014 NRActor Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Deadpool from the 2009 movie “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” in an standalone film for Fox-Marvel.
The 38-year-old announced the news on Twitter by posting an image of his Deadpool character, made up from bullet cartridges with the caption “it's chimichanga time”, in reference to the hero's favourite food.
Reynolds briefly played Wilson in the first act of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The character reappeared in the movie’s climax, but that version of “Deadpool” only bore a vague resemblance to the comic book character.
A disfigured and mentally unstable mercenary, Deadpool is famous for his talkative nature and his tendency to break the fourth wall.
Directed by Tim Miller, “Deadpool” makers are planning to release it Feb 12, 2016.
