S S Rajamouli appeals to Kannadigas

Apr 21, 2017 JB

SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali part 2 is all geared up to release next week on the 28th April. But there is an issue in Karnataka where activists are protesting against the release of the film because the film features Sathyaraj, who had apparently talked ill of the Kannadigas during the Cauvery river dispute 9 years ago.

Rajamouli had released an emotional video yesterday (20th April) speaking in Kannada and pleading to Kannadiga brethren.

His speech stated, “You all have tremendously supported Baahubali 1. Now, there is an issue which the team of Baahubali is not involved at all. Sathyaraj is neither the director nor the producer of this film. He is one among the several artists who has acted in it. He will not be affected even if this movie doesn’t release anywhere. I feel it is not correct to punish Baahubali 2 for the anger people have on Sathyaraj. Once I heard about this issue, I called Sathyaraj and had informed about the same. That is all I can do from my side regarding this problem. I appeal to you do not penalize Baahubali 2 for this issue.” Click the Movie button below for more info:
