Saamy 2 begins

Saamy 2, the sequel of the blockbuster hit of the 2003, started rolling from today, the 30th September, on the auspicious day of Vijayadasami. The photos of the crew are going viral now. A source from the unit said, “The principal shoot of Saamy 2 has commenced today (September 30) in Chennai. Since today is an auspicious day, the customary shoot has begun. The next schedule is likely to happen in Delhi”.

Saamy 2 is directed by Hari who helmed the first part also. Chiyaan Vikram and Trisha from the part 1 are being retained along with many new additions that include Keerthy Suresh as the heroine.

Director Hari has planned in such a way that the film’s shoot will equally happen in South and North Indian locales. The film is produced by Shibu Thameens of Iru Mugan fame. Bobby Simha plays the baddie in Saamy 2 which also has Prabhu and Soori in pivotal characters. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music for the film and Priyan cranks the camera.
