Sadashiv Amrapurkar in ICU, in critical condition

Versatile actor Sadashiv Amrapurkar is put on life support ventilator at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) in Mumbai, and is in critical condition, says his daughter Reema Amrapurkar.

"He is on life support ventilator now but his condition is critical. However, his body is responding well to the ventilators. He suffered from lung infection a few weeks back following which he was hospitalized at Kokilaben hospital", Reema Amrapurkar said.

The 64-year-old was hospitalised two weeks ago and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit.

Sadashiv Amrapurkar is well-known for his performances in "Sadak', "Ardh Satya", "Aakhari Raasta" amongst many others. Being a versatile artist, he performed negative, comedy and character roles with equal and uncommon elan.
