Sairat director Nagraj Manjule ropes in Amitabh Bachchan for his next

After his blockbuster Marathi film ‘Sairat’, which created history in Marathi cinema, director Nagraj Manjule is all set to foray into Bollywood with a social drama.

And guess what, the director has managed to rope in one of the biggest names in Bollywood - The Amitabh Bachchan.

According to reports Nagraj Manjule worked on this script for a year and a half before approaching Big B. Senior Bachchan has always been a big inspiration for Nagraj, who is also a huge fan of the superstar.

A source close to the project says, “Amitabh Bachchan will be seen playing a patriarch in the film with shades of grey.”

Soon after watching ‘Sairat’, Amitabh Bachchan had also praised Nagraj Manjule and called him a “genius director” on social media.

It will surely be interesting to watch what the talented director and veteran actor have in store for us. The movie is scheduled to go floor by the end of this year.
