Samantha in U turn remake in Tamil and Telugu

U Turn in Kannada was a much talked about film directed by Pawan Kumar. Shraddha Srinath played a pivotal role in the film. The film is going to be remade in Tamil and Telugu and Pawan Kumar would be directing both the versions with Samantha playing the lead role. She confirmed the same tweeting a few details about the project. "Shoot begins in Feb for @pawanfilms #Uturn #Tamil and #Telugu, produced by Srinivasaa silver screen”.

Director Pawan Kumar elaborates, “The first schedule was supposed to start from February 10, but unfortunately Samantha had a small accident at the sets and injured her left hand. We are now rescheduling the dates. In all likelihood, we will begin filming from the last week of February. The rest of the schedule has been planned for March, April and may extend to May”.

Besides Samantha, the film’s cast includes Aadhi Pinisetty, who will play a cop. The boyfriend's role, which had been played by Dilip Raj in the original, will be reprised by Rahul Ravindran.
