Santosh Narayanan sings

Music director Santhosh Narayanan has established himself as a composer who experiments with sounds and notes and has generated path breaking tracks in films like Attakathi, Jigarthanda, Cuckoo, Madras etc.

He has recently rendered a number for a film called Kappal directed by Karthik G Girish who is the former assistant of director Shankar. The track called Ketta Vaarthai was composed by music director Natarajan Shankaran.

While explaining the situation that led Santhosh Narayanan to sing, producer Sudhan says, “There is a fight scene in the film for which we wanted a song that will be very different from the usual films. Natarajan suggested that it would be nice if Santhosh sings. When we approached Santhosh, he wanted to listen to the tracks and the lyrics and finally rendered his voice. We finished the recording in three hours in Santhosh’s studio”. Director Karthik had written the lyrics for the number.
