Sathyaraj expresses regret over his statement

In the ongoing tussle in Karnataka regarding the Baahubali 2 release issue, the Kannada activists had insisted that if Sathyaraj apologizes to them, they might consider the release of the film in the state. Today, on the 21st April, Sathyaraj issued a statement through a video where he had regretted his words.

He said, “Nine years ago, I had made some statements during Cauvery river issue wherein things were said on both sides. My effigy was also burnt. But in the interim, many of my films also released there. Since it has come to a point where the release of the film is at stake, I offer my heartfelt regret for my words to Kannadigas. I am not against Kannadigas and my assistant Shekar is a Kannadiga.

I am a small worker in a big film Baahubali. I don’t want the efforts of many people to go waste because of my action or words. I will continue to speak for Tamils. If producers who are keen to feature me in their film, feel that this would create a problem, I request them to not cast an ordinary small actor like me”. He also thanked the entire team of Baahubali including SS Rajamouli, Shobu Yarlagadda and others. Click the Movie button below for more info:
