Seth Rogen was arrested for smoking marijuana in L.A.

Actor Seth Rogen was arrested for smoking marijuana when he first moved to L.A. because he didn't realise it was illegal.

The Canadian-born had forgotten that the city had different legislation than he was used to.

“I was genuinely shocked at how illegal it was here. I actually got arrested when I first moved to LA - I was smoking a joint at the beach, like I did my entire childhood, and all of a sudden, it was, like, whoop whoop whoop! Handcuffed in the back of a police car,” he was quoted as saying.

Despite his arrest, the “Interview” star doesn't believe he has a criminal record.
