Shah Rukh Khan gets an award
Oct 9, 2014 JBKing Khan was presented with the Global Diversity Award at the State Room of Britain’s House of Commons in London on 4th October 2014. Badshah of Bollywood received the award for his work in cinema.
Global Diversity Award is given to an outstanding individual who has made a major contribution to Worldwide Diversity and is also an international role model and icon.
Previous recipients of the award are Jackie Chan, the International film Star, Amitabh Bachchan, Sheikh Hassina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh; Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Lewis Hamilton, the Formula 1 Racing World Champion and Rev Jesse Jackson, the former US Presidential Candidate to name a few.
Expressing his happiness, Shah Rukh tweeted, “Now at the Houses of Parliament to receive the Global Diversity Award….humbled & grateful. Thank you. Tnx Mr Speaker Rt Hon John Bercow & my friend Mr Keith Vaz for a wonderful ceremony for the Global Diversity Award.”
