Shankar to do his next with Rajini

Superstar Rajinikanth’s last release Lingaa directed by K S Ravikumar was met with mixed response with the distributors claiming loss and the superstar compensating a part of their losses.

Now that the issue is solved, fans are waiting for Rajini’s next movie. It has been stated that he would be teaming with Shankar with whom he has given hits like Sivaji and Endhiran.

Talks are that, the film is likely to be produced by Lyca productions which did Kaththi. It is also said that Kamal Haasan will be roped in this film which will have Rajini as the protagonist and Kamal as the antagonist. The film is said to be projected at a budget of Rs 200 crores and that it would commence in the month of September. Shankar is holidaying currently in USA and official information is expected once he returns to Chennai.
