Shraddha Kapoor's drastic transformation for Haseena is jaw-dropping

After playing a series of young lively characters, Shraddha Kapoor is all set to play a dark character. Post ‘Half Girlfriend,’ Shraddha will be seen essaying the role of Haseena Parker, the sister of dreaded underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim in the film — ‘Haseena: The Queen Of Mumbai.’

Interestingly, Shraddha will be seen having drastically different looks in the film as she will portray Haseena from the age of 17 till her late 40s. And Shraddha’s drastic transformation from a younger to older Haseena is just too brilliant.

Shraddha took to Twitter on Monday and gave us a glimpse of her looks in the film. The actress wrote, “Younger and older. Thank you Apoorva Lakhia (director) for giving me the opportunity to play this character and for holding my hand throughout. #Haseena.”

From being a teenager to a married young mother to a woman in her 40’s, Shraddha has managed to look the part effortlessly but not without hard work.

In order to get the physicality of her character between the age of 35-45, Shraddha donned bodysuits and prosthetics. Apoorva went back and forth with makeup artist Subhash Shinde, hairstylist Simran Devi, stylist Eka Lakhani and costume designers Harpreet and Ajay for almost a year to nail the perfect look.

Since the ‘Baaghi’ actress was busy with prior commitments, the trials of prosthetics were done with her body double. Shraddha being dedicated to nailing her character used to arrive a few hours early and sometimes even before everyone else came. The prosthetic and make up application was time consuming and often the make-up would melt because of which she would have to redo it all at lunch.

Shraddha started costume and make-up trials almost two months before the shoot and even gave Apoorva a lot of inputs. Finally, after going back and forth, after a month and 12 trials got the perfect look.

One glance at the image, and we say it was totally worth it.

The shooting of ‘Haseena’ has been wrapped and the film directed by Apoorva Lakhia is scheduled to hit the screens on July 14.
