Simbu and Tamannaah in Mersal?

Simbu after the release of his long pending Vaalu must be a relieved man. His next release would be Idhu Namma Aalu directed by Pandiraj where he would be romancing his ex- Nayanthara. He is also working in Selvaraghavan’s Kaan and Gautham Menon’s Acham Enbadhu Madamaiyada.

Meanwhile the latest buzz in tinsel town is that Tamannah will be Simbu’s heroine in a film to be directed by Ameer which would be rural centric. Anirudh may be the music director of the film.

If this is finalized it would be the first time that Simbu and Tammu would be teaming up and it would be an interesting and refreshing combination. There are also talks that the film is titled Mersal following the huge success of Mersalaiytten from Vikram’s I. Let us wait for the official confirmation.
