Simbu completes singing 100 songs

Simbu’s last release was Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan which was a huge debacle. Post this film, he announced that he would be directing an English film and he has also been roped into Mani Ratnam’s next which has an ensemble cast that includes Vijay Sethupathi too.

Simbu is not just an actor and he is a multifaceted personality who has sung songs and composed music too. Recently he had completed singing 100 songs and in this connection, he had issued a press statement which is as follows:

"Singing has always been my passion and I get this from my father. I am happy and lucky to have sung the songs that I have, with most being super hits. I never realized I have sung 100 plus songs. I would like to thank wholeheartedly all my music directors, directors and co-singers for having given me the opportunity to be a part of their journey.

I am a keen learner and the experience of working with all the music directors has given me a larger and wider sight into the world of music. I thank my fans for supporting and encouraging me in whatever avatar I am taking up. 100 is just a number but I still attach a lot of pride to this moment. Cinema is an integral part of my life, soul, and system and I will strive harder to excel and carve a separate niche for myself".
