Simbu, Kalyani starrer ‘Maanadu' starts rolling

The filming for actors Simbu (STR) and Kalyani Priyadarshan went on the floors on Wednesday in Chennai. It is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi. Kalyani, who plays the female lead in the film, took to her Twitter page and shared a picture of the switch-on ceremony.

“Starting this super exciting journey today with an incredibly fun team! Need all you blessings 🙏🏻😊 #Maanadu,” she tweeted.

The film is said to be a political thriller and will mark the maiden collaboration of STR and filmmaker Venkat Prabhu. Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music for this film.
