Simbu's mom sings for him

Multi-talented Simbu after being a successful director, lyricist and an actor, will be marking his debut as a music composer in the Santhanam and Vaibhavi Shandilya-starrer Sakka Podu Podu Raja, produced by VTV Ganesh.


In the past, the actor had also roped in his father Rajendar to sing for his films. Now, for his debut album, he has brought in his mother Usha Rajendar to sing a number. Producer/actor VTV Ganesh says that Usha and Rajendar have sung a mass song called Vaa Munimma Va. Apart from his parents, his close friends Leon James, Anirudh Ravichander and Yuvan Shankar Raja have also rendered a song each.


Simbu is also introducing two new singers through Sakka Podu Podu Raja 17-year-old Vasudev Krishnan, son of popular playback singer Unni Krishnan, and Keerthana, a singer trained in classical music. He has completed all the five songs in Sakka Podu Podu Raja. The team has wrapped up the talkie portions and the song shoot will commence on March 15.
