Singer Adnan Sami is all set to make his acting debut

While we have many actors today doubling up as singers, now we have a popular singer turning actor.

Yes, Adnan Sami, who started out by starring in his own music videos in early 2000 and shared screen space with the likes of Rani Mukerji, Dia Mirza, Amitabh Bachchan and many more, is all set to make his proper acting debut in a film titled ‘Afghan – In Search Of A Home.’

The movie, which will be co-directed Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, is going to be an interesting mix of drama, emotion, and music.

The singer is looking forward to his character, which has been inspired from the stories of his forefathers. “We belong to the royal family of King Amanullah and still have palaces in Herat, Afghanistan. My great grandfather conquered Kafirastan and renamed it Nuristan. My grandfather was a provincial governor. After my father’s death, I’m the family patriarch now. I’ve never spoken about that part of my life because I didn’t want my family to open any doors for me but carve a niche on my own. Since I took a path no one had tread, they didn’t know which doors to open anyway,” revealed Adnan in an interview.

Well, looking at his history and his get-up, we definitely are excited to watch Adnan onscreen.
