It is never easy to make a mark as a singer since there are many in the fray. Namitha Babu, broke into the limelight with "Alunguren Kulunguren" from Sandi Veeran and is making people sit up and take notice of her.

Namitha says, “I must say the start I have had so far has been very satisfying. It all started with lovely tunes in ‘Sandiveeran’ and then ‘Thirunal’ movie. Ghibran sir gave me a nice platform in ‘Magalir Mattum’ in which I sang two songs and got a lot of appreciation and recognition for it. I have also sung in the Telugu version of Dheeran Adhigaaram Onrdu, ‘Kaakhi ‘. I would like to continue this streak of brilliant songs. I am confident the hard work I am putting in wanting to get better every day and be on par with the best singers, will take me higher. Being qualified in western classical gives me a huge advantage in shifting genres without much difficulty. I am really looking forward to work with more and more music directors and be the voice behind many more beautiful songs “

Namitha Babu also runs a music school in Chennai called ‘Nspire school of Music’ which was opened by Ghibran, Srikanth Deva and SN Arunagiri. Her upcoming release is ‘Veeraiyan’ which is slated to release on 24th of November in which she has sung three songs.
