Soundarya Rajinikanth tweets about her divorce

Soundarya Rajinikanth, the second daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth married Chennai based industrialist Ashwin in the year 2010. The wedding was a fairy tale one with some of the biggest celebrities attending it in the Raja Muthaiah Hall in Egmore, Chennai. The couple was also blessed with a baby boy Ved in the year 2015.

However, talks started coming out in the past few weeks that the couple are living away from each other and that they are filing for divorce in the family court although no official word had come in to quantify this.

But last night the Kochadaiiyaan director took to her official twitter handle to confirm the divorce. Soundarya tweeted, “News about my marriage is true. We have been separated for over a year & divorce talks are on. I request all to respect my family's privacy”.
