Steve Carell replaces Bruce Willis in director Woody Allen's star-studded next
Aug 29, 2015 NRActor Steve Carell has replaced Bruce Willis in director Woody Allen's yet untitled project.
Sources close to Allen have confirmed that Willis had exited the project but cited no reason for it.
There was a rumour that he was let go, but many also said the movie had a conflicting schedule with his upcoming commitment on Broadway adaptation of "Misery".
It would have been Willis's first time working with Allen.
Carell has joined the star-studded cast including Blake Lively, Parker Posey, Kristen Stewart, Jesse Eisenberg and Corey Stoll.
The "Get Smart" actor has worked with Allen before in "Melinda and Melinda".
For now, Allen's movie has been kept under wraps. Its shooting will continue in both New York and in L.A.
While no premiere date has been announced so far, the movie is expected to be released next year.
