Sundar C about Sangamithra

Director Sundar C has proved his mettle in directing commercially successful films and he would soon be directing his biggest ever project, Sangamithra.

The launch of this movie took place at Cannes 2017, where the producers, Thenandal Studios Limited, along with actors Jayam Ravi, Arya, Shruthi Haasan and also music composer AR Rahman, were present.

When Sundar C was asked as to how the idea of Sangamithra came in, he said, ''It has been a 15-year-old dream for me to do this project. Nearly 50 years ago, Aayirathil Oruvan starring MGR was the only grand Tamil film at that time. I was fascinated by the film, and that started the dream for me to do this project. There were many opportunities to do this film before, but we needed a huge budget, technical expertise and more importantly, we needed a very good producer. Fortunately, we got Murali sir of Thenandal Studios Limited. I just put forth an idea to him, and slowly everything fell in place''. Click the Movie button below for more info:
