Sundar C updates on Sanghamithra

Sanghamithra, a magnum opus under the direction of Sundar C was in the news for both good and bad reasons, the good one was that the first poster of the film was revealed at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, last year.

But the film is also being ridden with the news of the leading lady Shruti Haasan opting out of the film saying there was no script given to her. Although this was negated by producers Thenandal Studios Limited, it took a while for them to find a replacement for the role, with their search ending in Disha Patani from Bollywood. AR Rahman scores music for the film while Jayam Ravi and Arya play the male leads.

In a recent media interaction, when director Sundar C was asked about the status of Sangamithra, this is what he had to say, “It's a film with mammoth scale. Hence it needs perfect planning and we are doing the pre-preparation work for the last one and a half years. Unlike other films where work on graphics will be done only after shooting, here in Sangamithra, we have started it before shooting." Click the Movie button below for more info:
