Support for Anbu Chezhian from the film fraternity

The suicide of Ashok Kumar, co-producer and a relative of actor/director Sasikumar, suggesting Madurai based Anbu Chezhian for his demise, has created a lot of furor in the industry.

While, initially, there were many who spoke against him and condemned his loan receipt means, now there are many who have come in support of him.

While Vijay Antony was the first to tweet his support to Anbu Chezhian, he was followed by actress Devayani, director Sundar C, Vetri Maaran, Seenu Ramasamy, Rajesh M and others. They have all uniformly said that Anbu Chezhian is a gentleman and he is never the person which the media is projecting him as now. Distributor Tiruppur Subramaniam said there was an attempt to smear him. Speaking on this, Vishal, president, Tamil Film Producers Council, hoped that Mr. Chezhian could soon be located so that all these allegations can be properly investigated. He also said, “We are not debating whether Anbu Chezhian is a good man or not. He might have been a good person to 10 people; personally, I have not been harassed by him. None of this means that he couldn’t have forced Ashok Kumar to commit suicide as Ashok himself as written in his letter.”
