Suraj denies he is remaking Pandiyan with Arya

Recently, certain sections of the media had reported that the blockbuster Pandiyan which had the Superstar Rajinikanth as hero would be remade by director Suraj of Alex Pandiyan and Mapillai fame.

It was also said that Arya would be reprising Rajini’s role in this film which will be funded by Lakshmi Movie Makers who had bankrolled Suraj’s last film Sakalakalavallavan Appatucker which had Jayam Ravi, Trisha and Anjali.

But it looks like it is just a rumor and Suraj had refuted saying he has no plans to remake Rajini’s Pandiyan. He adds, “I don’t know from where such talks come from. My next film will be with a popular hero and talks are going on and nothing is finalized”. He further stated that at this stage he cannot reveal much as it is at a very early stage.
