Suraj to shift from comedy to serious roles

With the new trend, many comedians turn to do serious roles and vice versa. The comedian Salim Kumar is now mostly doing character roles after his award winning performances in ‘Achanurangatha Veedu’ and ‘Aadaminte Makan Abu’.

Now Suraj who is greatly appreciated for his comic roles will do a serious role in the new film ‘Perariyathavar’. ‘Perariyathavar’ is directed by Dr Biju who has earlier directed acclaimed films like ‘Veettilekkulla Vazhi’, ‘Saira’, and ‘Akashathinte Niram’.

The movie narrates the story of individuals who have been marginalized from the main stream society. Indrans, Nedumudi Venu, and Sunil Sugatha are also seen in major roles along with Suraj Venjarammoodu. Anil Ambalakkara produces ‘Perariyathavar’ under the banner of ‘Ambalakkara Films’.

Suraj has now become selective in his roles. This is his third film to do the lead role; the other two are ‘Duplicate’ and ‘Garbhasreeman’.
