National award winner Suraj Venjarammoodu tried his hand in a new area, that of singing. He sings for his movie ‘Pedithondan’.

Suraj sang the introduction song in the movie ‘Pedithondan’ directed by Pradeep. The song begins with the intro – Consumption of alcohol is injurious to health.

Many good songs had its origin from the singers who sang in the toddy shop. But they are not known to the outside world. This song which begins “Angatte kittenda ningalu Kandethe…” is dedicated to such unknown singers.

The song has typical words from the Northern part of Malabar. Suraj rendered them very beautifully. The lyrics of the song are penned by U Prasanna Kumar who is the scenarist of this movie. The tunes are set by Ajith Kumar.
