Suresh Menon to remake Pudhiya Mugam

Pudhiya Mugam directed by Suresh Menon had released 25 years ago which featured Revathi and Suresh Menon in the lead supported by Vineeth, Kasthuri and Nasser in crucial roles. The film had the brilliant score of AR Rahman whose songs are even remembered now.

Now Suresh Menon would be remaking the film with a few changes. The remake will be a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu. John Max of Shalom Studios, who made award winning movies like Mynaa and Saatai, is bankrolling the project. Ravikaanth of the 22 Studios banner is instrumental in ideating the entire project and he also doubles up as a co-producer.

It is reported that Suresh Menon is in the process of fine-tuning the script to suit the current sensibilities. He will not be a part of the cast. But, besides wielding the megaphone, Suresh will also crank the camera for the remake.
