Surya takes up Mammootty's challenge

While the Ice Bucket Challenge is spreading around the world, there comes the Rice Bucket Challenge in India. In the mean time megastar Mammootty comes forward with the My Tree challenge for the betterment of our nature.

“My Tree Challenge” is to challenge three others to plant a tree after planting a tree by oneself. Mammootty started this novel campaign by planting a tree in a house in Pollachi, one of the locations of his movie ‘Rajadhiraja’.

Mammootty said that the intention of this program is to protect the Nature for the future generations; the campaign assumes significance in the backdrop of alarming level of pollution and scarcity of water.

Mammootty challenged Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan and Tamil actors Surya and Vijay. It is reported that Surya has accepted the challenge.

Various schools, colleges, and organizations in Kerala have come forward to accept Mammootty’s “My Tree Challenge”. The program is being organized and headed by Wild life photographer and businessman Imtias Khadeer and the CEO of Kochi Easy Soft Technology Abdul Manaf.
