Swathi Kolai Vazhakku director on his film

Director Ramesh Selvan who has made Swathi Kolai Vazhakku met the press and explained his side of the story. To recall, the murder of a young techie Swathi last year in the bright daylight of a railway station had shocked the entire Tamil Nadu.

Swathi’s dad had given a plea to DGP that the film should not be released as it would affect the family a lot.

As a response to this, Ramesh Selvan said, “My intention is not to hurt Swathi’s family or to earn money through this film. My main objective is to create awareness so that there are no more Swathis or Ramkumars. Once I complete the film, I am planning to show it to Swathi’s family. I request Swathi’s family to not file a case against the film in the court. After seeing the film, if something is not ok, then they can go to the court”.
