Tamil 'Drishyam' to go on floors from August first week

The Tamil version of the Malayalam super hit family drama ‘Drishyam’ will go on floors from August first week. Kamal Hassen will play the lead role played by Mohanlal in Malayalam.

Jeethu Joseph who helmed the original will direct the Tamil movie too. The pooja of the movie was held recently. Meena is likely to play the female lead opposite Kamal Hassen.

The title of the Tamil version is not finalized. The film has already been remade in Kannada and Telugu with the titles ‘Drishya’ and ‘Drushyam’.

Ghibran will be the music director for the movie. This is Ghibran’s third film in a row with Kamal Hassen. The others are ‘Viswaroopam 2’ and ‘Uttama Villain’.

The movie is produced jointly by Suresh Balaji and George Pius under the banner of Wide Angle Creations.
