Chennai, March 15 (IANS) He played a fisherman in his unsuccessful Tamil debut "Kadal", and now actor Gautham Karthik is set to go back to college life for a role in his upcoming untitled film.

"The film will be an out-and-out commercial youth entertainer set against a college backdrop. We are yet to zero in on the title and the female lead. We are likely to start shooting from April," director Saravanan told IANS.

The rest of the cast and crew will be finalised soon.

This will be Saravanan's second directorial venture after Simbu-starrer "Silambattam", which garnered lackluster response at the box-office when it came out in 2008.

Queried about the long gap, he said: "I was toying with few ideas before I got busy working on the script for this film."

The film will be produced by G.V.G Raju.
