Karuppampatti is set in two time periods

Prabhu Raja Raja Chozhan, a former assistant of director Shankar has come up with the story of two youngsters, set in two different time periods for his upcoming film Karuppampatti.

The story happens in 1950 and 2013, where Ajmal and Aparna Bajpai play the dual roles. Karuppampatti has been shot in Chennai, Palani, Italy, Pudukottai and Paris.

The film has music by Kannan of Tamizh Padam fame. Famous Bollywood music director Bappi Lahiri has sung a song, Nauty Nauty Raja, for the film.

The team has completed the shooting in 80 days and 25 minutes of the film has French dialogues without subtitles.

However, the makers are confident that everyone will understand the film without sub-titles due to its making.
